Henry Darger.
Munich and New York: Prestel in cooperation with The American Folk Art Musseum, 2009. First edition and first printing. Large oblong hardcover. Edited and with an introduction by Klaus Bisenbach. Features contributions by Brooke Davis Anderson, Michael Bonesteel, and Carl Watson and with Henry Darger's "The History of My Life." Includes numerous color illustrations by Darger who toiled his entire life (in complete anonymity) on an often disturbing artistic output. It was only after he died that his work came to light and it has now been the subject of numerous exhibitions and critical acclaim. A near fine copy with some very faint foxing to the page edges and a small tear to the top of the front free endpaper and in a near fine dust jacket. Still a pleasing copy of one of the better books on Darger. Please note that this is a heavy book and will require extra shipping. Item #213477 More
