Dialogue With Solitude.
New York: Community Press, 1965. First edition and first printing. Hardcover. A powerful and dark collection of black and white images that show a clear influence from the book's dedicatee - W. Eugene Smith. A clean very near fine copy in a very near fine dust jacket. A much nicer than usual copy of this classic that was printed by a small publishing firm in a relatively small edition. This debut book garnered Heath a small following but it was only with the 2000 reissue, by Lumiere Press, that really helped get him the attention he so rightly deserved. A much nicer than usual copy of this book which is very prone to soiling and wear. (Parr & Badger v2, 104).
