New York: Duell, Sloan and Pearce, 1941. First edition. Hardcover. First printing. The third collaboration between this husband and wife team with text by Caldwell and photographs by Bourke-White. While not as well received or appreciated as their book "You Have Seen Their Faces" this volume is still a powerful look at America. It features text by Caldwell and 86 black and white images by Bourke-White. A clean near fine copy in photo-illustrated boards in a very good dust jacket wiht a chunk missing from the top of the spine, smaller chips at the base of the spine and corners and some edge tears as well. Still, a solid copy in the uncommon dust jacket.
