Copenhagen: Hans Reitzel, 1960. First edition. Softcover. A fantastic collection of black and white photographs from this photographer who is best known for his early work with color photography. Helmer-Petersen studied in Chicago at the Institute of Design and one can see the influence it had on him but his own modernist sensibilities are clearly demonstrated in this body of work. A clean near fine copy in photo-illustrated wrappers with paper spine label with some sunning to and along the spine. Still, a very nice copy of this underappreciated book.
