New York: Delacorte Press- Seymour Lawrence, 1978. First edition. Hardcovers. Harrison's first title to be published by Seymour Lawrence at Delacorte Press. Lawrence created three different issues of this now classic collection of three novellas. The trade edition, a slipcased edition of three separately bound books and a limited edition. This is number 159 from a limited edition of 250 copies. The three volume set issued in a slipcase with an illustration by John Thompson. A collection of three novellas, two of which have been made into movies: "Revenge" and "Legends of the Fall." The third novella is "The Man Who Gave Up His Name." Each book is in fine tan cloth boards with gilt lettering to the spine and in a near fine slipcase that has some slight toning to the edges. Signed by Harrison on the limitation page in the title volume. A nicer than usual copy of what remains one of Harrison's most enduring title. (Orr and Torrey A14.e).
