Jasper Johns.

New York: Harry N. Abrams, Inc. in association with the Whitney Museum of American Art, 1977. First edition and first printing. Hardcover. 248 pages. Published in conjunction a major exhibition. Features text by Michael Crichton who while best known for his thrillers like "Jurassic Park" was also a major art collector. Includes 172 plates with 61 in color and 6 gatefolds and an additional 149 black and white illustrations that accompany the text. This was Douglas Druick's personal copy with his sticker affixed to the front free endpaper with his name on it and also has Druick's extensive highlighting throughout the text and with some of his notes and marginalia as well. Otherwise a clean near fine copy with some slight bumping to the bottom corners in a near fine dust jacket. An interesting copy as Druick worked for a long time at the The Art Institute of Chicago as a curator and was also the author of "Jasper Johns: Gray."
