Boston, MA: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1941. First edition and first printing. Hardcover. Review copy with laid in slip. Features James Agee's classic essay along with 31 black and white images by Walker Evans. A tight very good plus copy with a small bit of loss to the gutter of the front board (likely a publisher defect) and some other minor wear in a very good dust jacket with a faint stain to the bottom corners, some of the usual fading to the spine and some minor edge wear. Despite the flaws a solid copy of this classic and the first review copy I've seen in a very long time. (Parr & Badger v1 144: Roth 1018-109).
