Includes a pictorial history of the development of Chicago and a reprint of the first city directory of Chicago from 1844 which was done by J.W. Norris. An about fair copy with a faint moisture stain to the fore edge of the pages in an about very good dust jacket with numerous small chips, tears and some faint moisture stain to the verso as well. Signed and inscribed by Butt on the half title page. Uncommon in a dust jacket and signed.
