Examination of five pioneering architects of California: Bernard Maybeck, Irving Gill, Charles and Henry Greene and R.M. Schindler. Illustrated throughout with photographs of some of their buildings and some floorplans as well. A tight near fine copy in black cloth boards and with the ownership inscription of author and museum curator Thomas H. Garver's copy to the front pastedown in an about very good dust jacket with a few spots to the front panel and some tears and wear to the spine ends. Despite the flaws a nice copy with an interesting provenance.
