Four volume set that features the first 23 issues of this highly influential parody/humor magazine that was founded by Harvey Kurtz (Kurtzman) and William Gaines. Also includes some notes and comments by John Benson. All four books are in fine condition and in a fine slipcase that is still partially in the publisher's shrinkwrap. No dust jacket as issued. Volume one has been signed and inscribed by Harvey Kurtz(man) on the title page. Kurtzman left after the 28th issue because of differences with how the magazine was run and only much later reconciled with Gaines.
