New York: Simon and Schuster, 1955. First edition and first printing. Hardcover. The second major monograph by Cartier-Bresson this with paper covered boards illustrated with designs by Miro as opposed to the Matisse designs for his other classic "The Decisive Moment." A collection of 114 gravures taken to show life in post war Europe. An about very good copy in illustrated paper covered boards with chipping to the spine ends, some wear to the corners and edges, and a small former owner signature to the front free endpaper. No dust jacket and lacking the caption booklet. Still a solid copy of this important and inherently fragile book. (Parr & Badger v1, 209).
