Tokyo: Hitachi, 1963. First edition and first printing. Hardcover. Smith was hired by Hitachi to photograph the company work and workers. Features text by Carole Thomas and includes numerous black and white images. A very good plus copy in paper covered boards with some minor wear to the spine ends, some light bumping to the corners and some other minor wear. No dust jacket as issued. Signed by Smith on the title page in 1964. A very nice copy of this richly printed book that is fairly uncommon and even more so when signed.
