Includes 7 black and white images by Roy DeCarava, 7 black and white iamges by James Van DerZee along with images by Vance Allen, Daniel Dawson, Louis Draper, Albert Fennar, Shawn Walker and numerous others. A very good copy in paper covered boards with some toning to the front board, some other minor wear and a vintage gift inscription on the second endpaper. No dust jacket as issued. Also includes a laid in Electrofax copy of Joe Crawford's essay about the reason for this publication. Uncommon in the hardcover issue.
