The first article is on Laszlo Moholy-Nagy who founded the Institute as the "New Bauhaus." He promoted photography and many other forms of design. The next article is by John Grimes and is titled "The New Vision In The New World." The last article is by Charles Taub and is titled "Photographic Education Comes of Age." This article goes into the period where Harry Callahan and Aaron Siskind teach at the Institute. The issue also has a chronology of the program, a list of graduates, and has a selected bibliography of books that feature the faculty and students from the Institute of Design. This issue features the work of the following photographers some who were teacher and other who were graduates of the program: Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, Aaron Siskind, Harry Callahan, Barbara Crane, Art Sinsabaugh, Ray Metzger, Richard Nickel, Kenneth Josephson, Arthur Siegel, Garry Winogrand, Geoff Winningham, Michael Abramson, Yasuhiro Ishimoto, and many others.
