An out of series copy that were printed by offset lithography on mohawk superfine eighty point text and were symthe sewn and encased in a die-cut hardbound wrap around cover. An artist book written by Dennis Bernstein and Warren Lehrer that takes the form of a play set in a Dream Queen restaurant. The action of the play involves the death of Gertie Greenbaum. Includes Lehrer's unique design using typography and symbols, the seven characters in the play, four customers and three employees, each get their own type and color. A clean very near fine copy in illustrated boards with some slight bumping to the top of the spine. No dust jacket as issued. Signed and inscribed by Lehrer on the title page. One of the most important books to published by the Visual Studies Workshop as it has been featured in numerous books and exhibitions.
