A play by Boothe that served as the basis for the Victor Schertzinger directed movie that starred Don Ameche, Marty Martin and Oscar Levant. A very good copy in cloth boards with some sunning and wear to the spine and a bookplate to the front pastedown but otherwise a clean copy. No dust jacket. Signed and inscribed by Boothe on the front free endpaper: "For Alex King with affection Clare." A spectacular association copy as the recipient was Boothe's collaborator on the play "Margin for Error" and was also an editor of Life Magazine at the same time the she was there.
