An interesting book that is a collection of letters from Blake who, despite being a well educated man and an accomplished piano player, spent much of his adult life in prison. Some of the letters in the book first appeared in The Paris Review and it was George Plimpton who championed Blake and brought the book to Doubleday to be published. A clean and tight very near fine copy in two tone cloth boards and in a very near fine dust jacket. A nicer than usual copy.
