The note reads: "Dear Mr. Jacobs, thank you for the friendly letter and invitation; it makes me want to come. but the schedule this time is too fixed, too tight, to allow of a divagation. best wishes, Howard Nemerov. The note is folded in thirds and on a sheet of paper from Washington University Department of English stationary. The note is in fine condition and in a very good envelope that has been roughly torn open with loss to one side. The recipient was the owner of Watermark Books in Wichita Kansas who hosted numerous author events as well as was the publisher of John O'Brien's novel "Leaving Las Vegas." Item #212741 More
